VITEEE 2020: Application Dates, Exam Pattern (Changed), Syllabus, Eligibility, Exam Analysis.

VITEEE 2020 is the University level examination commenced every year by VIT University located in a prominent place in India such as Tamil Nadu. VIT is one of the reputed Insitute for engineering among private university. Its alumni network is the strength. VITEEE stands for VIT Engineering Entrance Examination is a platform for providing admission into four years program like B.Tech This examination is helpful for providing admission in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amravati campuses but before applying, you must be aware of important information so that no complications appear later.

Major changes of VITEEE 2020

-      A new section namely “Aptitude” has been added.

-      Aptitude – the newest section contains 10 questions in total.

-      Number of questions in Physics and Chemistry has been reduced by 5 questions each.

VITEEE 2020 New Exam Pattern

The students who shall appear for the VITEEE 2020 Exam must know about its exam pattern. VIT University has changed the exam pattern for VITEEE 2020. The Exam Pattern It is an important thing which the candidates must know because it will help them prepare in a strategic manner and lead in the exam in the very first attempt. VITEEE 2020 Aspirants take a look at the new exam pattern. 

  • Mode of Examination – Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Type of Questions – Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ)
  • Total Number of Questions – 125
  • Total Time Allotted – 2.5 hours
  • Marking scheme – Each question will carry 1 mark and there will be no negative marking.

 VITEEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements in order to appear for VITEEE 2020:

  • Indian National, NRI, OCI and PIO candidates are eligible.
  • The applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on 1st July of the year of admission.
  • Those who have passed their 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board securing a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology can apply.
  • A relaxation of 10% in qualifying marks will be given to the SC/ ST candidates and the candidates belonging to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
  • The Biology students can apply only for B.Tech. Bioengineering/ Biotechnology, B.Tech ECE (Spec. in Biomedical Engineering) and B.Tech CSE (Spec. in Bioinformatics).

 VITEEE Syllabus 2020

#VITEEE 2020 question paper will consist of 125 MCQs from 4 subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and English. Candidates must go through the syllabus well so that they can prepare for the examination. VITEEE 2020 Syllabus includes the syllabus of class 12 (Science stream), similar to CBSE and Tamil Nadu State Board of Higher Secondary. Some of the most important topics for VITEEE are:

Mathematics         Matrices and its Applications, Trigonometry and Complex Numbers,, Vector Algebra,Analytical Geometry of two dimensions, Analytical Geometry of Three Dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and its Applications, Differential Equations, Probability Distributions and Discrete Mathematics

Biology        Taxonomy, Cell and Molecular Biology, Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Human health and diseases, Plant Physiology, Biochemistry, Human Physiology, Biotechnology and its applications, Biodiversity and ecology and environment

Chemistry   Atomic Structure, Inorganic (p,d and f – Block Elements), Coordination Chemistry and Solid State Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Chemical Equilibrium and Chemical Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Isomerism in Organic Compounds, Alcohols and Ethers, Carbonyl Compounds, Carboxylic Acids and their derivatives and Organic Nitrogen Compounds and Biomolecules (Carbohydrates – Distinction, Amino acids and Lipid)

Physics       Laws of Motion , Work, Energy and Power, Properties of Matter, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic, Effects of Electric Current, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Optics, Dual Nature of Radiation and Atomic Physics and Nuclear Physics Semiconductor Devices and their Applications

 

 VITEEE Paper Analysis 2019

  • VITEEE 2019 was a moderate to difficult level exam. Maximum questions were asked from the prescribed syllabus. Physics paper was moderately difficult. Most of the questions were asked from Electromagnetics, Current Electricity, Laws of Motion and work, Energy and Power etc.
  • Chemistry paper was not much difficult. The topics asked in VITEEE 2019 included Thermodynamics, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics and Equilibrium. Questions based on p, d and f block were also asked.
  • Mathematics questions were evenly distributed. Few candidates found mathematics section difficult while some found it moderately difficult.
  • VITEEE Biology section was considered to be the toughest. Most of the questions were based on Genetics and Evolution, Taxonomy, Reproduction, Human health & diseases and Cell & Molecular Biology.
  • VITEEE 2019 English section was comparatively easy. Majority of the questions were based on English Grammar, pronunciation and Comprehension.
