NTA NEET 2019 Examination Dates, Eligibility, Pattern and How to apply

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2019 (NEET (UG) - 2019) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Indian Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Pondicherry.

Here, we are providing information to medical aspirants about NEET (UG) Application Form including mode, important dates, eligibility, exam pattern, and how to apply process.

  • Candidates can apply for NEET (UG) – 2019 only through online mode.
  • Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.
  • Submission of Online Application Form may be done by accessing the official website of NTA www.ntaneet.nic.in only.
  • Candidates must ensure that Candidates must ensure that e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on e-mail address or SMS on given Mobile Number only.
  • Candidates will have to upload the scanned photograph and signature.
  • The file size of photograph should be between 10 kb – 200 kb and signature size should be 4 kb – 30 kb in jpeg/jpg format.
  • Correction in particulars of application form facility only after the completion of the application form.

 

Application Fees:

  • The application fee can be paid using online mode i.e. Debit card/ Credit card and Net Banking And Cash Deposit through e-challan.

 

  • The application fee for Unreserved or Other Backward Classes (OBC) is Rs. 1400/- and for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender is Rs. 750/-

NEET (UG) 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

  • He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.
  • The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category and persons entitled for reservation under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
  • Age Criteria: 

              (i) Candidates of unreserved category                  born on or between 05.05.1994 and 31.12.2002

              (ii) Candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PwD                       born on or between 05.05.1989 and 31.12.2002

 

  • Appearing candidate of 12th standard in 2019 shall also be eligible for the entrance.

 

  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for ‘National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test’.**

  

  • The marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% for PwD candidates specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and 50% for Unreserved category candidates.

 

HOW TO APPLY:

Preparation for filling up Application Form

A candidate can apply for the NEET (UG) - 2019 only on-line by logging on to www.ntaneet.nic.in

Before submission of application form, make the following preparations:

 

  • The information desired to be filled in the Online Application such as names of Father/Mother and Candidate with correct spellings, Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits)/Election Card (EPIC No.)/Passport number/Ration Card Number/ Bank Account Number/Other valid Govt. Identity Card Number, Date of Birth, Address, Mobile Number, email id, etc. may be kept ready.
  • The Application Form other than the one filled in online mode will not be accepted, under any circumstances. The Candidates are not required to send the Confirmation Page of Online Application Form to the NTA. However the candidates are advised to preserve atleast four copies of the Confirmation Page along with the proof of fee paid for any future reference.
  • The candidates must note that after submission of the Application Form, it cannot be withdrawn. Claims for refund of Application Fee will not be entertained.
  • Candidates are advised that fee should not be paid from the account/Debit Card/Credit Card of Cyber Café or any other unknown individual, as refund, if any from the NTA, will be credited in the same account from which it has been paid to the NTA.
  • Generation of Confirmation Page confirms final submission of Application Form. If Confirmation Page has not been generated, this means that Application Form has not been submitted successfully.

  • Each question carries 4 marks. For each correct response the candidate will get 4 marks.
  • For each incorrect response one mark will be deducted for the total score.
  • The duration of test would be three (03) hours.

Medium of the Question Papers: -

Candidates can opt for Question Paper in anyone of the following languages:

English / Hindi / Assamese / Bengali / Gujarati / Kannada / Marathi / Odia / Tamil / Telugu / Urdu.
