COMEDK is the “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” – an autonomous institution consisting of senior academicians and reputed administrative officers who have been associated in educational eco system. This autonomous COMEDK was entrusted the responsibility to organize testing procedures to determine the merit of aspiring students in an effective, fair, transparent and non-exploitative procedure by KPCF (Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation – Medical & Dental) and KUPECA (Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association). By this, COMEDK has been serving 16 Medical, 24 Dental and around 190 Engineering Colleges. COMEDK since its inception in 2004-05 has been conducting the annual entrance exam for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the member institutions and has also been organizing single window centralized counseling process over the last 15 years.

Subsequent to the National Eligibility -cum- Entrance Test (NEET) being mandated as the only acceptable entrance exam for admission to Medical and Dental courses in the country, COMEDK continues the evaluation process for the members of KUPECA i.e. around 190 Engineering colleges.

For the current academic year 2020-21, COMEDK would conduct an online examination UGET (Under Graduate Entrance Test) #COMEDK UGET 2020, all over India on Sunday, the 10th May 2020, across 300 centers for Engineering programs which offer around 20000 seats and will be followed by online counseling.

COMEDK UGET 2020 Application Form

Check below all the details regarding COMEDK UGET 2020 Application Form: 

  • The Online Registration process of COMEDK UGET 2020 has been started from 16th January 2020.
  • The online application process involve – Online Registration, filling the Application form, uploading the required documents, selection of exam center and payment of application fee.
  • The complete registration process and application filling process can be done in online mode.
  • Last date to fill the application form is till 17th April 2020.
  • Candidates must completely and correctly fill the application before submitting it. No candidate will be allowed to edit/ modify the details of application after its final submission.

 Application Fee:

At the time of filling the application, candidates have to pay application fee of Rs.1600 + GST &Convenience charges.

The fee can be paid by the applicants by debit/credit card or net banking.

COMEDK 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The students who are planning to appear for COMEDK UGET 2020 Exam must first check the eligibility criteria for the exam. Eligibility criteria play an important role as the not fulfilling the same will lead to rejection of the candidature at any stage of the admission process.

  1. The student must have appeared for and cleared the second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government with subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.

  2. The student must have scored minimum aggregate marks in the exam. This is different for each of the categories as applicable for the exam.

> Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions.

> Candidates interested only in Architecture course, need not fill the online application form for engineering entrance exam.


COMEDK UGET 2020 Exam Pattern

Number of Questions      :        180

Distribution of Questions :        Mathematics - 60 questions

1 mark for correct answer 0 mark for incorrect answer


COMEDK UGET 2020 Inter-Se Merit

It might be possible that when the results are declared, two students might be having the same score in the exam. In this case, the merit shall be determined as per the inter-se-merit criteria. The students who shall appear for this exam must know about it. It is an important thing to know. Check it below:

  1. The principle of least negative responses (number of wrong answers) in 1) Physics, 2) Mathematics and 3) Chemistry

  2. Aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics in the Entrance Test shall be taken in account.

  3. Marks in Mathematics in the Entrance Test will be counted

  4. If any of the above is not satisfying, the Age of the Candidate will be the factor for calculating the merit.

 Merit List & Counseling

A merit list shall be prepared on the basis of COMEDK UGET 2020 Result. The merit list is important for the students. On the basis of the COMEDK UGET 2020 Merit list, the students shall be called for the counselling process.

The counselling process shall be conducted for the eligible and the qualified students who have secured a place in the COMEDK UGET 2020 Merit List. They are advised to visit the official website to know all the updated details about the counselling process.


COMEDK UGET 2020 Syllabus

The syllabus for COMEDK UGET 2020 exam is based on the curriculum of class 12th / 10+2/ 2nd PUC. The aspiring candidates can check important topics for each subject as given below:

Mathematics: Matrices, Determinants, Differentiability, Binomial Theorem, Applications of Derivatives, Inverse trigonometric functions, Linear and Quadratic Inequalities, Vectors, Probability, Three-dimensional Geometry, Limits and Continuity, Permutation and Combination etc.

Physics: Laws of Motion, Electromagnetic waves, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Current Electricity, Communication Systems, Atoms & Nuclei, Electronic Devices, Electrostatics etc.

Chemistry: d and f – Block Elements and Coordination Compounds, Hydrocarbons, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Biomolecules and Polymers, Environmental Chemistry, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Solid State, Chemical Equilibrium, s- Block & p-Block Elements and metallurgy, Nitrogen containing Organic compounds, Oxygen containing Organic compounds etc.
